IDEA4Africa was fortunate to have an incredible first Country Director in Isabelle Byusa. Besides being from Kigali, and being a young entrepreneur herself running Zumba classes in her free time, Isabelle had worked with some of our board of directors in the past developing an entrepreneurship workbook for teachers in Rwanda.
During her tenure as Country Director for the newly formed IDEA4Africa organization she worked making connections and creating a hub for young entrepreneurs to access for mentoring and support.
As Isabelle returns to the United States to start her graduate work at Harvard University in Cambridge, we are fortunate to have welcomed Pamela Munyana to continue the work that has been started. Pamela will be our “boots on the ground” person working to organize and register all the participants for the 2016 GEW Summit in November and extend the reach that the organization has already established.
Pamela comes to us also as a native Rwandan having studied mathematics, chemistry and biology in High School. She received a scholarship to attend Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota where she received her bachelor’s degree double majoring in Global Development and Communications and minoring in Business. Pamela worked as a teaching assistant at the United International College in Zhuhai, China upon graduation. There she taught English, World Cultures, and Entrepreneurship Across Cultures.
We are thrilled to have her join our team being another great advocate for economic development in Rwanda!
